The brother hanging out with a Girl turned into the brother dating the girl. First relationship. Aww.
Part of me really, really wants to stay at NC State in the philosophy department, because Prof. Auerbach is just that awesome. I scribbled a vague sort of proof in the back of my blue book that taking the top three short answer questions for the exam and letting the other three be potential extra credit instead of letting the student choose the three to be extra credit wasn't always as beneficial to the student as the alternative, without really expecting him to see it. He obviously did, because I got an email this afternoon saying something to the effect of "you're right, but it doesn't really matter in practice," and also a book recommendation. But then I think, it's State, and what would I do with a degree in philosophy anyway, and I resolve to send him emails maybe. Try, at least. I haven't really formed any strong relationships with teachers thus far in my scholastic career; if I really went to State, I think this would be my opportunity. But I don't, so I'm just a little sad.
Work is good. Got scheduled more at the Ralph's in Cary, which is fun because it gets very little business, so it's mostly just hanging out with the other person working, and I really like both Steph and Mike, who are the people I've worked so far. And I'm getting faster at scooping and making shakes and stuff, so yay.
Been feeling productive on and off, more off than on. I know it's one of those "... dude, do your work" type things, but I have trouble with those, so I whine. And put my laundry away, in lieu of anything actually productive.
Meh, whatever. Will beat MySQL into shape tomorrow. Will go to bed early tonight. Maybe. If I feel like it.
