Currently am sitting at my new(ish) desk from the Duke University surplus store, typing at my new(ish) keyboard on my new(ish) computer, with an operating system that is definitely new, to me at any rate. The good part about having a father who is a computer geek is that even the second-hand stuff you get from cannibalized computers at his work is pretty cool. Not incredibly wonderful or anything, but still pretty cool, and much faster than my old box. The only problem is that I still don't have my bookmarks and files and stuff, but that should be fixed soon. I hope.

Just occurred to me that I probably don't have AIM yet. This makes me twitchy. I shall have to rectify this situation. Soon....
