The Wetlands Clean-up this morning was much fun, even if there weren't many tires to retrieve. There were many, many bottles, cans, styrofoam, and other miscellaneous crap. About 11:15 I started pooping out--found a tree that was leaning against another tree at an extremely convienient angle, just right to lie on. I swear I didn't fall asleep, but there was still that funky disjointed feeling I get when I take naps, like whatever happened before the nap was completely separate from what happened after. Very odd. I managed to fill three garbage bags, and a bit of another before we left. Was very proud of myself. The only downside was that I didn't get to go in the creek almost at all, which was disappointing. Running too high, bah.

I would like anyone who reads this to know that if I catch anyone I know throwing trash in a location where it does not belong, such as out a car window, or to the side of the road, I will personally skin him or her alive with a dull spoon. And I'll enjoy it. Bwa ha ha...

Anywho, off to get un-mudded, then off to Michael's for dream catcher equipment. Party on.

Oh, and if anyone is interested in the reason why I'm picking trash out of a wetland, here's a link that helps explain the project that will go there someday, when it's clean and pretty.
Good place right now. Just got back from helping with sound at the Variety Show fundraiser thingie at church. The other guy who did it is cool, so it was a lot of fun. And I think he knows that I know what I'm doing now. Go me. The funniest act was five (adult) guys who puppetnapped the puppets that our kids' program has to use them to lip sync to Bohemian Rhapsody. It was absolutely hilarious. Head banging puppets.... heh heh heh... The other cool act was a jazz trio who was really really good.

I might actually do something in it next year. Then again, I might just do sound again. Less embaressing, more satisfying.
