My dad heard an interesting commentary on NPR last night about the similarities between Monsters, Inc., and The Matrix. It's quite amusing. My favorite bit is at the end--"Budget matters. The Matrix had enough money to put special effects in nearly every frame, which puts the balance firmly in favor of Monsters, Inc."
