SLA today. Three other committee members didn't shot up who I expected to, which was depressing. No awards or nominations, which was completely expected but still vaguely depressing. Managed to amend the Education bill, though; I'm proud of that. Despite the fact that the bill itself did not, in fact, pass. I don't think. Don't remember, and am far too lazy to check at the moment.

I went to buy a quart of oil for my poor abused Saturn, as the engine had started to make funny noises, and it hadn't gotten oil since... wow, long time ago. A quick examination of my archives says that it was the beginning of January. This is not a good thing for car engines. I'll probably have to put another quart in, tomorrow or something, but at least it's not making crazy noises any more. At least, not crazy engine noises. It still talks to other cars when I'm driving through parking lots. I asked the guy at the counter if one kind of oil was better than another, and then after I bought some, to help me get the cap to my oil tank off. It occurred to me that he probably wouldn't have been nearly as nice to me were I not female. Then again, if I weren't female, I don't know that I would have asked for help, whether I needed it or not. Puzzling questions, no answers.

Not really in the mood to write anything else; it would come out too honest for this forum.
