Oct. 18th, 2006 01:19 amI have a blister on the side of my big toe. It's kind of interesting; I don't think I've had a blister there before.
Fourish miles up to Kelly's Camp through Icehouse Canyon, 3.6 miles up to Ontario Peak and back, 5ish miles back down to the trailhead. Twelve-thirteen miles over three days, which was just about the right amount, I think. We left a little late on Sunday; it was way too hot going up the mountain, and we didn't get to the campground until pretty much dark, so we were freezing while cooking dinner. The weather coming back down was amazing, though--just a little cloudy, so there wasn't too much direct sunlight. And Monday was nice, too, going up to the peak. My name is now in one of those little notebooks that live on top of mountains.
My only other note for right now is that nature makes a lousy outhouse. And that I have way too much to do for tomorrow, which is uncool. So it goes.
