htothehMy laxity in posting this weekend has not been my fault. I've been in Durham since yesterday afternoon, and while there was a guy with a laptop, he didn't have an internet connection. And before that, I went to the Ren Faire, which really wasn't all that great, especially since I had to drive there, which took me 45 minutes through my first experience with stop and go traffic. It was quite irritating. And then I could only stay for about an hour, which was enough time to buy a sausage, watch Jeremy juggle flaming torches, and look at sharp pointy things. This is one of those weekends where I desperately wish that there was more than one of me.
The place near Durham where I went is called Avila. That's where the Alpha retreat was. Avila is absolutely gorgeous. There was a tree that I wanted to try to climb, but I didn't have time before the storm started.
I had a great time, but I don't really feel like writing now. Curling up in a corner and glaring balefully at the world, maybe, but not writing. Later, perhaps.
