Today was more-or-less a good day. This morning I went to a French bakery on Capital Boulevard as part of the French Flex Activity. Their croissants are very, very good, and they come in about ten different flavors. I bought a cream cheese one for myself, and fruity ones for my family. On a whim I bought a mini-baguette, which was put to good use at lunch.

Then the Evil Plot that no one has told me about was unveiled: Elena, Cassandra and Erica conspired to get me a cake. A big cake, too. I think I must have grinned foolishly all through lunch. It was a very Cool Thing. My lunch consisted of a croissant, two mini ham roll thingies, and cake. Not that I'm complaining, mind you.

The English Flex wasn't as bad as I had feared. Watching the first trial was fun, because there was much opportunity for snide comments. Listening to the media for our trial was hysterical. Reese is a genius. He wrote something about how it was all the fault of an alien fetus implanted in the narrator, and it was all a government cover-up. The prosecutors were being controlled by yellow fish-shaped devices. I almost fell out of my chair, I laughed so hard. The rest of it was a bit frustrating, though. Lieselotte was decent, as far as high-school lawyers go. But since I was the defendent, I couldn't object to anything (at least not officially), and that drove me crazy, Law & Order junkie that I am. I think I would have made a better lawyer.

The only downer is that my GoPo essay still isn't done. I'm going to get it done tonight. I keep telling myself that, at least. I missed going to see Enloe's production of Crazy For You, which annoys me mightily as that's one of the first musicals to which I got to know the music well, and I wanted to actually see it once. Oh well.

My blog is going through an identity crisis, whether or not this actually shows. I want a new template, and I want to make it myself, but I have no time, and I know very little about style sheets. That's what I love about the Internet; there's probably a hundred decent sites out there that will do a very good job of teaching me about them. New hobbies... funfun...
