Two late nights in a row--probably not good for Hannah's mental health. However, there was a perfectly good reason tonight. It was Erica's party, and a very good one. It started with the first three-quarters of Dead Poet's Society, a movie that I eventually want to finish watching, then progressed to ping pong. After everyone arrived, we moved the party outside, first to get the plates and things up into the treehouse, then just to hang out. We managed to get Ceren into a photo--no mean feat. Erica will have a new foot photo to adorn her bulletin board. I discovered that Thai food is indeed very good, albeit a pain to clean up out of treehouses. We went back inside to watch Wag the Dog and eat cake. That is a very depressing movie. It's funny, and I liked it, but what it says about how gullible people are... I find it cynical. And depressing.

After cake, Ceren left, and there was more ping pong, and Trevor pulled out Erica's mom's guitar, which was a very happy thing. Everyone else went back out, to the treehouse, I suppose, but I thought it was far too cold, and I was tired besides, so I stayed in and talked to Trevor. I think we hit most of the major topics of conversation--Life, the Universe, and Everything. We went outside, to be good little party guests, and there was more talking, then Diana and Elena left, and, once again, we were down to DSFBC. Chris' dad is apparently a math geek, and Erica's dad is a math professor at State, so they ended up talking for half an hour about who knows what, and I ended up getting home around 11:30. Not that I'm complaining, mind you. And the ride home was amusing. Having friends who can randomly quote from Hitchhiker is fun. It's even more fun, though slightly scary, when one knows what they're talking about.
