I think the oddness of the week climaxed yesterday. I had ELPS and French, neither of which were awful. Played dots and irritated Mrs. Newmark after ELPS, read after French. Went to Cameron Village after school, to study (hah!) and have lunch at Quizno's. It rained. A lot. And I got wet. *shiver* But it was really cool to watch from the covered shelter of the tables outside the Village Deli. Yes, we ate outside the Village Deli even though we got food at Quizno's. Didn't make sense to me either. At any rate, we had dessert at Cafe Cyclo (yummy cheesecake), then went back to the library for some more studying. This was not the extremely odd bit, although the entire thing seemed a little surreal for some reason. I dunno why.

The really odd bit was the worship service that evening. I don't know exactly why it seemed so very strange that I was there, but it did. Maybe it was the fact that it was held in a skating rink. I went to help play with the soundboard, but I didn't do much of that. They had a band that played very loud worship music, and a pastor whose favorite phrase seemed to be "can I get an Amen!" He was white. Go figure.

Maybe it was the fact that I felt like I was missing something. Apparently there are many people who get something out of believing in God, singular, with a Son and Holy Spirit. I can't really figure out why I'm not one of them. Whatever it is that they get doesn't quite touch me. Maybe it does and I just don't know how it's supposed to feel.

Well, whatever. Chemistry and Calculus to look forward to today. Whoohoo.
