May. 13th, 2006 11:28 amSteven is leaving soon; he stopped by to say goodbye. He's about the only person to whom I have to say goodbye before I leave, I think; then I'll be saying goodbye to a lot of people.
Really, it's only three months. That's worth remembering. Summer will be short, and then I get to come backand die from sophomore year.
I still have to pack. I've barely started. It's kind of a weird feeling; I'm back to thinking of NC as my home, or at least thinking of my family as home, but I'm used to being here. Possibly it's just inertia. I don't think so, though.
Gah, summer. I'll have to find a job. I'll be taking at least one class, hopefully two. I'll probably be hanging out with Chris a fair bit, and Diana and Erica some. I want to wander more; I don't do nearly enough of that. I'll be learning Python and Logism and doing CS homework.
I think it'll be a good summer. It has lots of potential, at any rate.
While I'm thinking about it, could lj please recommend me something to read over the summer? I tend to run out of books because I'm a little leery of picking up stuff I'm not familiar with or have been recommended specifically by people I know. I think I'm going to make attempts at Heinlein and Stephen King, and possibly a reread of Hyperion, so that gets me through about the second week of June. What should I read after that?
