Mar. 6th, 2004 10:57 amOne year and one day ago, I started writing in this blog. I was fifteen when I started writing, and started counting down to my sixteenth birthday and my driver's license about three weeks in.
This year, I'm not nearly as excitied about the idea of turning seventeen. I have a driver's license, with which I can drive multiple people around after nine. These multiple people who I could in theory drive around are not the same people who I likely would have thought of a year ago. One of them is my boyfriend; none of them are the person I considered to be my best friend in middle school, and now don't even talk to now that carpool has dissolved. I worry about gas money. I keep meaning to give the Cat Clinic my application, and haven't gotten around to it yet.
A year is forever in high school, but at the same time it seems like not that long ago that we were eating lunch on the wall next to the pit, and I admitted to having a blog.
In other news, Open Mike Night was last night, and the less said about that the better. There were a few good/amusing/good and amusing acts, but those were few and far between. It was my Date Night with Erica, so we went for dinner first, and Third Place after, so the extreme decibel level did not even come close to damaging my Friday. And there was definitely an extreme decibel level.
Reminder to self: Do not allow father to bug me about coming to any more school events.
