Wow. Okay. So.
So yesterday I had a Steven. This was good.
Also yesterday my hard drive spontaneously imploded. This was not. My call to IBM this afternoon went something like:
Me: So I think my hard drive crashed.
Service Rep: Okay. Are you getting any error messages?
Me: ... Operating System Not Found?
Service Rep: ... yeah, it crashed.
So I'm getting a new hard drive by Tuesday. Meanwhile, I'ma install things that I need for work on one of our desktops, I guess, because there's stuff I need to get done this weekend. Grr, argh.
Fortunately I didn't lose that much stuff that's irreplaceable--chat logs is about it, really. There are some assignments from last year, but most of those I have printed out anyway, the pictures I really wouldn't want to lose are either in my computer or in the possession of Frances (I think? The pictures from the first Skirt Day?) and most of my music is backed up either on my iPod or on the upstairs computer. I think most of my classical is gone, which is extremely unfortunate, but I'll be able to rebuild.
I'll be able to rebuild. Ye gods.
It's amazing how much I keep on the internet, really.
