Mar. 13th, 2003 09:59 pmIt's an odd feeling, knowing for sure now that people are actually reading what I write. It's doubly odd knowing that people/a person are/is finding what I write to be worthwhile. I think I like the feeling.
Spring has quite honestly sprung. We have daffodils in the front lawn! And I planted the bulbs. That's a very Cool Thing, that something I did resulted in daffodils. They're very springy; there's something about bright yellow that's incredibly uplifting, although I suppose one would have to be in a mood to be uplifted.
I used to be incredibly depressed by rain. I liked to listen to it, sure, but I didn't like it. I still don't like it very much, and I'm still depressed by it, but there's a part of me now that insists it's not all bad. Odd how one's perspective can change depending on who one views events with. I'm thinking in particular of one evening last summer, when it was warm and raining, and I walked barefoot through a subdivision for what seemed like forever with people whose company I treasure. That evening always makes me think of "The Story So Far" by New Found Glory.
I think part of the reason that band irritates me so much is that I like their songs, but their singer is so bad. And he has stupid hair.
And am I a talented topic skipper or what?
In other news, I have a pretty banner that I made myself that I'm going to put up just as soon as I figure out how. Don't anybody hold your breath. That could take a while.
