Oct. 5th, 2003 10:30 pmSo yeah, went to the White Plains United Methodist contemporary service this morning. It was very contemporary. They had youth doing the first few songs. I probably would have been less biased against the service if they had been good, but they weren't, really; they liked harmony. A lot. So much so, in fact, that the melody was almost completely obscured at some points. They had too many strong singers on the bottom parts, and not enough on the top. That's my decidedly unprofessional opinion, at any rate. I though that the guy sounded like Kermit the frog. Dad compared him to Ned Flanders, of The Simpsons. Even so, Mom liked the service a lot, and I think the only reason we're not going to go there is that it's ginormous. I didn't like it so much, but I think I'm in too cynical of a mood to appreciate any sort of church service right now. I want to just let the whole God thing lie for a while, but I don't think Mom would let me. A pity, that.
