htothehA Certain Person is irritating me. It's nothing they did, oh, no. Rather, it's things I've read in their blog.
A quick note: if you're reading this, chances are, I'm not talking about you. I'm not saying names because I really don't not like this person, just somethings about them irritate me, and I don't want to hurt them, but do want to rant. So this is perhaps not the best place to do it, but... oh well. Will live.
So, back to the minor rantage. First of all, this person is a perfect representative of a rather ridiculous attitude towards guys that I've noticed--might as well drop any pretense of hiding gender now. This attitude is expressed by slogans like "throw rocks at boys." At the same time, she's harboring a fairly serious crush.
Stupid boys. All their fault for being dense. < /sarcasm>
Naturally it never occurs to anyone who takes this sort of thing seriously that this kind of attitude is like putting half the human race into a little tiny box and trying to stomp on it. I have to ask--has she ever really talked to a guy without a patronizing attitude? Is she capable of meeting them on even terms, treating them like human beings instead of Icky Boys? I thought people were supposed to leave that sort of attitude behind in grade school. Or middle school, at the very latest. But 11th grade? I am aware that guys are different from girls. I just don't think that they're different enough to have rocks thrown at them.
Also, she claims membership to a certain internet organization, which is utterly ridiculous. To my knowlege, which is admittedly limited, she has not posted anything that would be necessary to claim such a membership.
And thus I am irritated. Her image of herself is nothing like my image of her, and naturally I think mine is better. Well, isn't it?
Am aware that this is not particularly organized or coherant. To which I say, bah.
Am technically grounded from computer until Christmas Break. Parents are at basketball game, so am typing merrily away. Mwa ha.
Homework now, before sentence structure suffers irreversible degredation.
