Feb. 27th, 2005 08:48 pmAsheville was enjoyable. Had an interview with the head of the Chemistry department(!), who showed me the gas kinetics lab because the only question I could come up with for him was "so... gas stuff. How much can you do with it, really?" only not quite like that. I like to think that I made a good impression.
The overnight was also enjoyable. Played two games of Cranium with seven people I didn't know, saw an extremely profane comedian--why does so much of comedy have to be about sex? those parts just made me go "when is he going to start being funny again?" because he was funny, just not when he was riffing on sex. the college students liked it, though. go figure--won a mug playing bingo, and went to bed at three o'clock in the morning after my host had a minor breakdown.
The part I liked was realizing that if the freshmen I met were mature enough to be in college, I would have no problem.
I need to do my homework, because I totally didn't do anything this weekend.
